Frequently asked questions.

  • Sex coaching is a collaborative process. We start by getting oriented — understanding where you are now, what you want, and what might be getting in the way.

From there, we build a plan together: contextualizing your experience, filling in knowledge gaps with accurate information, and offering guidance so you can move forward with clarity and intention.

You bring the questions. I bring the education. We figure out the rest together.

  • Therapy and coaching overlap in meaningful ways, but they serve different purposes.

Therapy can explore past experiences and how they shape your present. Coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to go.

Think of it like the difference between a physical therapist and a personal trainer. A physical therapist helps you heal an injury at its root. A personal trainer helps you build strength, set goals, and move forward — while being mindful of any injuries along the way.

Sex coaching is the personal trainer. Sex therapy is the physical therapist. Both are valuable. Both can work together on your behalf.

  • Honestly? Most people can benefit from sex coaching. We live in a culture that doesn't teach us much about sex — and what it does teach us is often inaccurate, shame-laden, or both. Coaching is a chance to fill in those gaps.

If you're navigating severe or unresolved trauma, working with a licensed therapist first is likely to serve you better — and I'm happy to help you think through what kind of support makes the most sense. Coaching addresses different needs than therapy does, and in many cases the two work well alongside each other.

If you're curious, confused, or just feel like there's more to understand — you're exactly who this is for.

  • Sessions are conducted via private video call, so you can join from wherever feels comfortable.

We'll usually start with a brief check-in, touch on any progress or reflections since our last session, and then follow wherever the conversation needs to go. You set the agenda — I may come with loose ideas, but what you bring always takes precedence.

Depending on what comes up, we might work through an exercise together, explore some relevant education, or I might send you home with resources or something to try on your own.

We close each session by recapping what came up, reviewing any next steps, and making sure you leave with something concrete to carry forward.

It's a process that has structure without being rigid — there's room to explore, and room to just figure things out.

  • No. But that is a common question and I'm glad you asked.

Sex coaching is a talking-based practice. Sessions may include guided exercises, educational discussion, or reflective activities, but sexual contact is not part of the work. What happens in sessions stays within the boundaries of a professional coaching relationship.

If you've ever wondered whether that needed clarifying, you're not alone and you're welcome here regardless.

  • Whether you're single or in a relationship, you're welcome here.

Single clients are welcome to come as they are — no partner required. For those in relationships, sessions can be individual or couples-based, depending on what feels right.

If your partner joins the process, I do ask that we follow a specific intake structure to make sure everyone feels heard from the start. You can find those details on the Services page.

  • Sex coaching is not currently covered by insurance. This is true of most coaching modalities —and even most sex therapy— as the field remains largely unregulated at the insurance level.

Payment is made online via invoice prior to each session. Pricing details are available on the Services page.

  • If anything here resonated, the best next step is a free 15-minute discovery call. It's a low-pressure conversation, and a chance for you to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide whether coaching feels like a good fit.

You can browse session options on the Services page, or head straight to the Contact page to schedule your call. Either way, I'm glad you're here.
